Time Trial League
Hey guys,
I was out cycling with some guys from the lunchtime legends group and got talking about the time trial league that they organise.
The calendar is done and details on pre-registration and the first night are on their website.
They have put me down as a contact for queens tri club. Peter/Michael/Thomas.. if any of you would rather be the contact point let me know :)
I'll be taking part in the races and I'm sure everybody could benefit from them. I was told that they start the week that the clocks go back.
Cheers,
Brian

Will the time trials be on tomorrow if the weather is bad?

Yes, myself and Michael were there last week in hailstones. Its unlikely to be cancelled unless the weather is really bad. Generally an announcement should be on the website before 6 if it is to be cancelled. Hopefully it won't be a problem if the sun keeps shining like it is now!
Cool, see you there.

Time trial league registration full.
Hi - sorry to anybody still hoping to register for the TT league. An announcement is up on their website that registration is full.
I wasn't aware that there was a maximum number of entries, but they are strictly capped and can't make any exceptions due to safety concerns and organisational problems with bigger numbers.
Brian
Reminder that this is starting on the 10th of April and you must be registered before turning up to race. Anybody who wants to race on the 10th will need to be registered before then. I'll be at swimming tonight and i'll have print outs of the form. If anybody wants to register make sure you have your TI number.
I really want to get some proper TTing XP
But I'm only available to TT from the start of June :S
- Firstly is it ok to join mid-way through?
- Should I be registering now?
- Besides £20 registration what/if any other costs are there?
Much appreciated
Also..
Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap/functional rear red?
Are those Knogg things any use?

There's no problem joining mid way through. The £20 is a suggested donation and I think the way they suggest doing it is £5 per race or £20 if you plan on doing a few. I'll confirm that when i'm speaking with the organizer. There aren't any other costs involved.
Yes, we should be getting registered now. I'll print out forms and bring some to running tonight and any other training sessions that i think of bringing some. You'll need your TI number to register. If you are paying money upfront, give that to me along with the form and i'll be passing it on to the organizer. Otherwise bring money on the day of the race. I'm sure they won't turn it down :)
Most important things are to be registered before you turn up, have a TI license and bring your card to the race, have a functional rear light.
I'm in the market for a good rear light myself. Can't help you there!
Cheers,
Brian

That would be great if you were down as contact. I love the Tuesday night time trials. Unfortunatly I don't think I will be able to make as many of them as last year.
Hi Brian, personally I'm quite happy for you to be contact person, thanks for stepping up! If you like, I can create a simple registration form on the website for this which might be easier than collating e-mails from everyone. Every week you can download the list and clear the form for the next week. What info do you need on the form: name, TI number, next of kin contact details?
