Training Sessions
Note that swimming and cycle training have switched days: swimming is now on Mondays and cycling on Tuesdays.
The current winter training schedule is:
Monday: (20.00-21.30) Coached swimming session in the PEC. Meet at the poolside. There are separate lanes for beginners, intermediate and advanced, so you can join us whatever your ability. There is a £1.50 charge for the coaches (£3 for associate members).
Tuesday: (18.30-19.30) Cycling session in Squash Court 4, PEC, on road bicycles with turbo trainers. The PEC have requested that you bring a towel for under your bike. If you don't have a turbo trainer, the club have a few spare ones. There are also a couple of club bikes available.
(19.30-20.00) Brick session: 1 mile or 3 mile run following the cycling session.
Wednesday: (18.30-19.30) Outdoor running session, meet in PEC reception. Weekly sets are posted to the website: one which we do together on Wednesdays and two for you to do in your own time.
Thursday: (19.15-20.00) Spin class in the PEC Spin Studio.
(20.00-21.30) Swimming session in the PEC. This session is not coached, but we have three lanes available and you can work through Monday's sets on your own.
Also, the swimming club have invited our members to attend their circuit training sessions on Thursdays from 17.00-18.00 in the PEC minor hall. You don't need to bring any equipment to this as they have spare skipping ropes and resistance bands for people to use.
