Swimming

QUBTri offers three types of swim training sessions:

Coached Swim Training

These take place in the PEC Swimming Pool. We have three lanes, for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced swimmers. A swim coach provides a session aimed towards triathlon racing in the summer months. The coach also offers feedback on swim technique and efficiency.

Self-coached Swim Training

Our weekly swim sets are provided on the website so that members can work through them on their own.

Open Water Swim Training

Open water swimming can put many non-swimmers off competing in their first triathlon. These sessions are designed to build confidence in the water, while providing more confident swimmers with an opportunity to prepare for the race season. Open water swim sessions are held at Meteor Water Ski Club, Carryduff between May and August.
